I have used this snowboard twice. It would be something if I’ve had it for a few years, but literally used it for two 6 hour days and the top layer split in 2 places. I reached out to the warranty team and was informed this issue it not covered by the warranty?? The conditions I rode on were powder and I hit nothing that would cause the damage, so there should be no reason for the top layer to split like that. I am extremely disappointed. I did not realize when I purchased from Rome the quality would be this poor and what in the world is covered by the warranty if something like this isn’t. I want to be reimbursed for what I paid or given a replacement board, that is not faulty.

I have never encountered a situation like this with snowboarding equipment. Disappointed is an understatement for this kind of customer service. Will definitely not be recommending your brand to anyone in the future.

My wife has been snowboarding for nearly 20 years on and off, and last year moved to a more modern, beginner board from another brand. It was good, but she was seeing the limits of it pretty early. We gave that board to our daughter, and my wife jumped on the Royal as a replacement. The Royal is a much better all rounder with more room for growth. It's definitely a wider board, and for her this lets her get a bit more out of her carves. She feels more comfortable at speed as this board can cut through a lot. It's strikes a good balance for beginners/intermediates looking to progress their skills without being 'too much' board for a beginner. Early days, but construction seems excellent too for the price.

I finally replaced my 9yo snowboard with the Royal after copious research and testing in resort (which I only get out to one week a year; two if I'm lucky).

I love the pop-iness of this flexi little beauty. Was a dream to ride for the week, testing on- and off piste. It was light weight and very manoeuvrable.

I didn't venture into the park, but tried some 180's and tripods without breaking myself or the ride.

Switch riding was smooth, and I missed the ease of the ride when I was testing other snowboards. I'm looking forward to our decade of adventures together hehe

I'm so happy I got this board. I'm an intermediate all-mountain rider and went on a hiatus for 5+ years but I got back into riding again last season. I wanted a board that I could feel comfortable jumping back onto the slopes while also not growing out of it too quickly after one season. I was recommended this board and it has seriously changed the game. I'm 5'3", weigh 115 lbs and got the 144" which was perfect.

Board came fast easy to assemble and works great. Would definitely buy again.
