This is hands-down the best board that Rome Snowboards has ever made..
It lays carves better than any board I’ve ridden. It’s my go to for Powder for Woods jumps hard charging fast riding. This is the one.👌🏻.
Please never change this board
This board is super fun for poking around in the woods Powder piggin your way to the next stash.
Directional tapered boards are the way forward.
This board does it all. It’s got zing, pep, honey, vinegar, and body mass. You can take this puppy down to Mountain Creek for some zesty east coast turns or find yourself a fluffy pillow line at Mount Hood Meadows. This board is the golden retriever of boards.
Really enjoy carving with this board.
I’ve used this board for park, freeriding and some carving
I like it a lot because you can go and do anything with it.
I’m 178cm, 68kg with 44 eu boot and i ride 148cm board, maybe could be one size up but this one is nippy for sure
Just a heads up - the weight ranges listed on this website are not the same as what is printed on the sticker on the actual board I received. Not sure what's up with that. The board sticker says the 153cm is recommended for riders up to 158lbs not 174 and the 157cm is recommended for 174+ and not 191.
That being said, I bought the 153 based on what it says here on the website. Wanted to downsize a little for some quick cuts and a lighter board. I am probably about 190lbs with all my gear on and was worried when I saw the 158lb recommendation for the 153 board. Don't be scared! I took the board out for the first time today after my local mountain had received about 15" of snow throughout the week. Lots of rough snow combined with fresh pow.
I have to say, I am absolutely amazed at the difference a board like this makes in powder conditions and for all mountain riding. I've really only ridden park centric boards (flat-rocker, camrock, full camber) and I probably had the most fun I've ever had riding a snowboard today (outside the park, but a moot point really). The board is stiffer than I expected and absolutely has the backbone to carry me through hard charges even with the size 153. I'm glad I didn't opt for the 157 in reality because the shorter size makes it so much fun to whip through trees and moguls.
Take my review with a grain of salt since I have nothing to compare this board to in terms of volume shifted directional pow boards but this thing seriously rips. The huge nose of the board that's rockered combined with the camber in the back foot makes this a lay down, pop filled, powder floating machine. Even doing basic airs and grabs is so much fun on this board. Graphic is so cool too, throwback to the 80's where it all begin. RIDE THE VIBE!
Picked up a 157 service dog, i got 5 days on it, couple good pow days, great float, was also impressed how well if carved on the hard pack, was able to dig a trench with this thing. Stiff than i expected which i like, overall great turning experience any conditions, i enjoy the set back surfy kinda feel. Great board great price. I have size 11.5 boots and this board has nice width no toe or heel drag.
