Libertine Boa

The Libertine is designed for rugged, dependable, all-mountain performance and season after season of all-day comfort. New for this year, we overhauled our inner HeelLock Harness for smoother entry and additional ankle and heel hold. With a burly and supportive flex profile, the Libertine is backed with the slip-free performance of the GripLight Outsole with Vibram Icetrek 2.0. The hard-charging Libertine Family is a team favorite thanks to the snug feel of the pack out resistant Ultralon F.I.T. Liner. Perfect for riders who want a supportive, powerful boot for deep landings, high speeds, and must-make situations.

Finally found the perfect boot!

I’ve been trying and experimenting with various boots - Burton Ruler, Burton Photon, Nidecker Rift, Ride Fuse and now the Rome Libertine. The Libertine is my favorite of the whole bunch. They aren’t the most comfortable of the bunch but they fit my feet well enough without being bulky, I love the flex profile, the footprint, the board feel and the build.

I have flat feet and wear aftermarket insoles.

These boots have noticeable cushioning on top of the toes and top of the shins. Felt weird at first but after riding these for a bit, the cushioning feels like performance points. These boots can carve toe side, do well at slower speed and are great for freestyle.

Obviously, the best boot is the one that best fits your feet but these boots just have something different than the other brands I have tried.

My only complaint is that they are noticeably harder to get on and off. But once you’re in them, it’s a joy to ride these boots.

They are true to size. I wear an 11 in Burton and Nidecker and am also an 11 in the Libertine.

Nice boot

I normally wear size 10.5-11 shoes and my feet measure 10.5 (26.7cm). The 10.5’s were not available so I opted to try the 10’s. I don’t have wide feet but I think I have a slightly thicker foot and my toes felt crunched up slightly with the padding in the front. The padding actually feels nice and I wish I could have tried these on in person. I think size 10.5 boot for me would have been perfect. Good boot though and feels great I just had the wrong size

Narrow!!!

Well, I went and tried this boot on at the shop. It is very nice. Looks good and feels well-built. The problem is, it is narrow, and fits great everywhere except the toe box is so freaking narrow it was crushing my normal-width feet. This is a narrow foot person boot or for people that like to be tortured. Too bad because I wanted to be able to have some boots for my Rome (Bataleon) bindings.
