Who are you and where did you first start snowboarding?

I’m Ivika Jürgenson and I started snowboarding in a small DIY park on a tiny hill behind my school in Estonia. It wasn’t even a hill, it was basically just a pile of dirt, high enough to take speed for a rail we had built. I snowboarded there for a couple of years before I got to ride a lift for the first time.

Why snowboarding? What drew you to it?

I wanted to become a WRC driver but my dad said it’s too expensive so I chose snowboarding instead.

What does your dream boarding trip look like? Who’s coming and where are you going? 

I’ve never ridden proper powder, I’m still dreaming of a pow trip in Japan. Let’s bring the whole Rome team!

What are you listening to these days?

I just watched all three seasons of Stranger Things again and I got reminded by all the nice music they used for the show. So, I’ve been listening to that kind of music lately.

In your opinion, who is the greatest snowboarder of all-time?

That’s a tough one. But I mean watching Rene is pretty mind blowing...
