Ståle Sandbech’s go-to for deep days, the Stale Fish is all about floating through the choppiest of seas. This directional piranha of a board is built with Rome’s Directional Diamond 3D for a powerful, responsive ride that can handle whatever Ståle puts in front of it.
Designed for all-mountain prowess and float in the deep. Rockered in the nose, flat under the front foot, with a positive cambered tail.
Taper is featured in directional boards built with wider noses than tails, helping with agile turns and added float in deep snow.
Designed to increase float in deep snow, improve handling in variable terrain, smooth turn initiation, reduce edge catch and complement all-mountain riding in all-senses.
One single rod of bamboo milled into the boards core in the nose for pressability and playfulness.
Made of carbon, Omegas act as housing built around the HotRods and are designed to provide additonal power and responsiveness.
Fiberglass running in three different axes, built for torsionally rigidity and added snap.
Our most versatile and durable core, built with alternating strips of 20mm strips of poplar and 20mm strips of paulownia.
Fiberglass with two different axes, built to be more torsionally playful and flexible.
The new go-to, this hardworking base is easy to fix with great wax retention. A low maintenance daily driver for riders of all ability levels.

Bought the Rome Stale Fish 157. Little issue during order process got handled very smart and quick.
Great board with great grip. Makes a lot of fun.
Carves super hard with the volume shift! Super quick carves off the back foot or long drawn out ones felt amazing. Strong pop even with a short tail, nose is perfect flex to lean into a butter. I rode some softer snow but I didn’t notice nose chatter, NOW bindings may have helped as they have the rubber bushings. I think the triax and sintered base is worth 50 bucks, I mean the performance I got out of this board was even more than I expected for the price!
Get this up to speed and just lay trenches, pop some 3s off side hits, and most importantly float in pow! Killer graphic too. 153cm at 5’10 160lbs.
Can you ride this with a size 12 boot
This is a great versatile board. I love how the Diamond 3D nose works in soft snow. The Stale Fish has become my favorite board for powder, spring slush, and carving groomers.
Great for deep powder but can also shred jumps and anything you take it through
