As versatile as it is sleek, the Katana is the binding of choice for riders who want lightweight performance from peak to park and back again. Built with the ultra-light, fully redesigned AsymWrap platform and upgraded impact absorption thanks to DuraCush™ on the SubBase pad and footbeds, the Katana is built to take speed, send-it deep and make any board ride better.
Great bindings. They are comfortable, adjustable, and perform well.
I haven’t splurged on bindings for a long time, but I must say the Katanas are well worth price. The ability to customize just about every piece of these make the riding, not only personal, but controllable. The change was noticed immediately and I cannot wait to play around with the options. If you are hesitant that’s understandable but take this as a sign to snag these bad boys and bring some extra joy to your experience.
Just came back from a week of riding and what I can say is that these bindings are just amazing! I own two Amplid boards, a Surfari and a Stereo, and they felt so great with both. The customization options are unmatched and depending on the board I wanted to ride, they gave me great power and precision or a lot of playfulness. The straps made me feel locked in without applying any pressure point.
Just perfect for me. Highly recommended!
I own Nitro Zero’s, Union Force’s and now these… these are my new favorite bindings and so far are exceeding my expectations! They are super responsive and are my go to’s for charging big lines, while still having enough play for some freestyling. The high back adjustability is also a game changer. 11/10 would recommend
I’ve been looking at these bindings for a few years and didn’t pull the trigger until this year. I’ve owned quite a few bindings including Burton (Cartel, Triad, Genesis), Gnu (Mutant), and Union (Falcor). I was blown away with the adjustability off the bat, but what sold me were the straps especially the toe strap. I’ve had issues with the Burton bindings for years with the toe strap coming loose after a run or two while these form around your boot with unbelievable grip. The Flex reminds me of the Cartel with the surfy feel but with much higher end response. Feels like best of both worlds. Overall, Rome knocked it out of the park with these and I definitely should have bought these years ago.
Built to maximize tweakability and a surfy board feel, our innovative AsymWrap platform started the conversation about how bindings can and should ride.
A Rome exclusive binding innovation, PivotMounts are small adjustable pieces that allow riders to move the position of their ankle straps on their boots. The higher up on your boot the ankle strap sits, the more power and turn initiation. The lower the strap goes, the more surfy and tweakable your riding will be.
PivotMount Max provides 8 different strap options per side of the ankle strap, 64 configurations total.
Designed so riders can adjust their highbacks to mirror the angle of their heelside edge for maximum power transfer.
Built so that riders can adjust the angle of their highback to mirror the angle of their lower leg for increased connection and stability.
Created to help fit a wider range of boot models and sizes.
